The tanker „Palanca Cadiz“ constructed for the Swedish client WISBY TANKERS was launched in 3. MAJ Shipyard

On Saturday April 16, 2016, at 11:00 hrs, yard 731 constructed by the shipyard 3. MAJ was launched from Slipway No.1

The Director of 3. MAJ Brodogradilište, Mr. Domagoj Klarić, greeted all the attendees and especially thanked the client for an exceptionally good business relationship, emphasising the fact that the long term business relationship has long ago outgrown a strict business framework. The Executive Director of Wisby, Mr. Jonas Engstorm, especially thanked the workers who took part in the construction of the tanker for their efforts and engagement.

The launching operation was successfully led by the leader of the launching, Mr. Reuf Mahmić, words of blessing and calm sees were conferred by Reverend Luka Lučić while the first lady of the launching was Ms. Danijela Rimanić – Constructor–Project Engineer in the Hull Department who, by cutting the rope, wished the ship PALANCA CADIZ calm seas, “I wish her long and successful sailing on the world’s seas, for her always to be a source of pride for her constructors, and for the crew to always safely return home“. Following the launching, the keel for yard 732, a self-unloading vessel for the transportation of bulk cargo constructed by the shipyard 3. MAJ for the Canadian company ALGOMA, was laid on the same slipway. Immediately after the launching of yard 731 the naming ceremony for yard 730 that was already launched was held on Slipway No.2. The godmother of yard 730, Ms Helena Salamon, named the vessel PALANCA RIO and she wished the vessel safe sailing and calm seas. Considering that the tanker was launched on Saturday, the ceremony was complemented by the presence of many citizens who came to attend.
